I have been retained to recruit a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to design and provide engineering support for the development of hinges, connectors, antennas and other small plastic or sheet metal parts used in wireless handsets, PDA's and smart phones. This opportunity requires that you work out of your home office supporting the North American Sales Engineering Manager. You will use Pro-Engineer and perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA). You will visit customer sites such as Motorola in Chicago, interfacing directly with their product development teams defining design requirements, which you will implement. You will communicate with the Engineering Department and manufacturing which is based in Seoul, Korea, via the Internet, providing support to the Sales Engineering Manager. This Korean-based division of a US multinational is growing fast. This is a regular, full time position with a typical benefit package commensurate to your level of responsibility. Home office expenses are reimbursed and office equipment is provided. Compensation range is $75,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
